Café Catholica 2025: Hope in the Lord

The Café Catholica summer series is open to all young adults (ages 18-39) and features dynamic speakers, prayer, and socializing. Café Catholica 2025 will be held in person at St. Vincent de Paul (6800 Buffalo Speedway, Houston) on four Mondays in July starting on June 30th. Each night will include Confession at 5:15 pm, Mass at 6:15 pm, Dinner at 7:15 pm, and Talk at 8:15 pm. This year’s theme is: Hope in the Lord. Come for all or part of the evening! No registration is needed to attend. Donations are accepted.

Join us as a Café Connect Facilitator

Are you interested in helping make the Café Connect groups available for young adults? Are you a leader of a young adult ministry and want to host a group at your parish? Then, please join us as a Café Connect Facilitator! Café Connect Facilitators are young adults who volunteer to help lead the discussions for the Café Connect groups. It is very easy to become a facilitator, and the YACM Office offers all training and resources to help prepare you for the role. You do NOT have to attend all 4 Mondays of Café Catholica in order to help lead a Connect group. To sign up as a facilitator, please sign up online at www.archgh.org/cafeconnect by June 9^th.

Glimpse of Life in Community

All young women aged 19 to 33 are invited to join us for a week in Galveston for "A Glimpse of Life in Community" coming up on July 11-20. Immerse yourself in essential spiritual practices during this 10-day transformative journey. Spots are limited, so be sure to secure yours! This event is sponsored by the Office of Vocations. Verbum Tuum Silent Retreats-Starts August 19

All young adults are invited to participate in the Verbum Tuum. This 4-session program is a training for the spiritual life for young adults who are serious about the mission God is calling them to.

Come explore the mission God has planned for you and learn the art of discernment. Join us on this journey to discover your unique calling! The first session will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Houston on August 19 from 6:00-9:00 pm. This event is sponsored by the Office of Vocations. Men's Discernment Retreat- July 18-20

This retreat is designed for young adult men, 18-35, to help participants consider a vocation to the diocesan priesthood. Come find out what the life of a seminarian and priest is really like. There's ample opportunity for prayer, community, and honest conversations with priests and seminarians. Discover what God has planned for you. Eucharistic Adoration for Young Adults

Heart-to-Heart Adoration

All young adults are invited to Heart-to-Heart adoration nights held on the last Tuesday of the month at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 7-8:15 pm. Heart-to-Heart offers Eucharistic adoration, confession, gifted prayer teams, and praise and worship music. Come to listen to the heart of Jesus! After prayer, join young adults at a nearby bar for drinks and socializing.

Courage and EnCourage Open in Houston

The Courage apostolate is the Church’s invitation to people (ages 18+) who experience same-sex attractions, who desire to live in accord with the Gospel call to chastity. A confidential support group led by a priest chaplain, Courage accompanies men and women along the road to integration, freedom and discipleship. United by friendship with Christ and one another, Courage members strive for chastity and holiness, meeting regularly for prayer and mutual support.

The EnCourage ministry welcomes parents, spouses, and other loved ones of people (ages 18+) who experience same-sex attractions to join together regularly for prayer and mutual support. Semana Pastoral
¡Acompáñanos para una semana especial de eventos organizados por la Pastoral Juvenil Hispana! Iniciamos el martes 24 de junio con una Hora Santa en San Jerónimo, organizada por el grupo Juventud y Esperanza. El jueves 26 de junio tendremos una Misa en la parroquia Holy Ghost, organizada por el grupo Aprendiendo a Vivir, seguida de un Happy Hour en Post Oak Ice House. Cerraremos la semana con el Desayuno Pastoral, organizado por la Oficina de Jóvenes Adultos y Pastoral Universitaria, donde reconoceremos a jóvenes adultos comprometidos en grupos parroquiales. ¡Una semana para vivir la fe, fortalecer la comunidad y celebrar el servicio joven, por una pastoral juvenil integral! ¿Estás interesado en ayudar a que los grupos de Café Connect estén disponibles para jóvenes adultos? ¿Eres un líder de un ministerio de jóvenes adultos y deseas organizar un grupo en tu parroquia? Entonces, ¡únete a nosotros como facilitador de Café Connect! Los facilitadores de Café Connect son jóvenes adultos que se ofrecen como voluntarios para ayudar a dirigir las discusiones de los grupos de Café Connect. Es muy fácil convertirse en facilitador y la Oficina de YACM ofrece toda la capacitación y los recursos para ayudarlos a prepararse para el rol. NO es necesario que asistan los 4 lunes a Café Catholica para poder ayudar a liderar un grupo Connect. Convivio Pastoral
¡Todos los jóvenes adultos (de 18 a 39 años) están invitados al Convivio Anual de la Pastoral Juvenil el sábado, 19 de julio de 2025! El Convivio se llevará a cabo en el Circle Lake Retreat Center (19000 Circle Lake Dr. Pinehurst, TX 77362) de 10:30 am - 5:30 pm. Este Convivio es para darle la oportunidad a ustedes jóvenes de conocerse y compartir tiempo juntos. En el Convivio participarán jóvenes adultos de todos los grupos de la Arquidiócesis de Galveston -Houston. Habrá diferentes actividades: piscina, canoas, juegos, naturaleza, etc. ¡Si no eres parte de un grupo de jóvenes adultos, te invitamos a participar! El costo es de $15 e incluye almuerzo.
