Café Catholica Lite with Sisters of Life

The next Café Catholica Lite will be held on February 15 at St. Theresa in Memorial Park (6622 Haskell St, Houston) from 6:30-8:45 pm. The talk titled, “Let Love Show You who You Are,” will be given by the Sisters of Life from New York. The night will begin with Mass at 6:30 pm, lite dinner at 7 pm, and the talk from 7:30-8:45 pm. Discovering Love with Clarity

Are you seeking the meaning of love? Please join us for the upcoming Discovering Love with Clarity program open to all young adults. Discovering Love with Clarity is a series of formation and encounter for singles, dating, and engaged couples willing to explore the profound meaning of love and discernment of relationships.  The program, facilitated by Fr. Kingsley Nwoko, STL, includes 4 Saturday discussion sessions held at St. Dominic Chancery (2403 Holcombe Blvd.) on March 2, April 6, May 4, and June 1 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Charis Retreat for Young Adults

Save the date for this year’s Charis Retreat that will be held on April 26-28, 2024! All young adults (ages 18-39) are invited to join us for this 3-day, 2-night retreat based on Ignatian Spirituality at Circle Lake Retreat Center (19000 Circle Lake Dr., Pinehurst, TX). Magnify

Save the date for Magnify 2024! All young adults are invited to join us for Magnify at St. Mary’s Seminary (9845 Memorial Dr, Houston) on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Magnify is a day that will include a keynote speaker, workshops, Mass, and time for social activities. Our theme this year is “Who do you say that I am?” from Matthew 16. Eucharistic Adoration for Young Adults

Adoration by Candlelight

Young Adults are invited to a night of Eucharistic adoration with music from 1,000 years of Catholic tradition, provided by Schola Cantorum of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Adoration nights are held one Tuesday per month from 7-8 pm at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart (1111 St. Joseph Parkway, Houston).

Heart-to-Heart Adoration

All young adults are invited to Heart-to-Heart adoration nights held on the last Tuesday of the month at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 7-8:15 pm. Heart-to-Heart offers Eucharistic adoration, confession, gifted prayer teams, and praise and worship music. Come to listen to the heart of Jesus! After prayer, join young adults at a nearby bar for drinks and socializing.

 

Festival of St. Thomas at UST

The University of St. Thomas invites you to join in celebration of our patron saint this Friday, Feb. 2! At the Festival of St. Thomas, you will find an evening featuring live music, food trucks, marketplace, inflatables, chicken races, and more! Given Forum 2024: For Young Adult Women

The next cohort of the GIVEN Forum will be held in Washington, DC, from June 8-12, 2024. All interested young adult women (ages 21-35) are invited to apply to participate by February 8, 2024 (deadline extended). The GIVEN Forum is designed to help young adult Catholic women with a heart for mission and an aptitude for leadership identify their particular gifts and find practical pathways to put them in the service of the Gospel. In addition to attending the Forum, those selected to attend will receive a year of one-on-one mentorship when women grow in leadership skills as they implement their Action Plan.

National Eucharistic Congress with the Archdiocese

The Archdiocese of Galveston Houston is sponsoring a pilgrimage to the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis this summer! This historic 5-day gathering of missionary disciples will be a new Pentecost, a powerful anointing and personal commission to invite others to know Christ. Registration is now open for this once-in-a-lifetime event; there are a limited number of discount registrations for those who register right away! Synod Webinars with Bishop Flores

Deepen your reflection on synodality during three upcoming webinars with Bishop Daniel E. Flores from the Diocese of Brownsville. Bishop Flores serves as the chairman of the USCCB Doctrine Committee and has been shepherding the synodal process in the United States. For more information go to www.usccb.org/synod. Courage and EnCourage Open in Houston

The Courage apostolate is the Church’s invitation to people (ages 18+) who experience same-sex attractions, who desire to live in accord with the Gospel call to chastity. A confidential support group led by a priest chaplain, Courage accompanies men and women along the road to integration, freedom and discipleship. United by friendship with Christ and one another, Courage members strive for chastity and holiness, meeting regularly for prayer and mutual support.

The EnCourage ministry welcomes parents, spouses, and other loved ones of people (ages 18+) who experience same-sex attractions to join together regularly for prayer and mutual support. Vigilia Pastoral 2024

¡Agradecemos a todos los que asistieron a la Vigilia Pastoral 2024! ¡Vivimos una noche especial en Adoración Eucarística! Este evento no se pudo haber hecho sin la participación de los 20 grupos juveniles que lideraron cada hora. Agradecemos al Obispo Italo Dell’Oro, CRS por celebrar la Santa Misa, a los concelebrantes, diáconos, ministros litúrgicos y a los sacerdotes que estuvieron disponibles para Confesar a los jóvenes durante la noche. ¡Gracias al Equipo de la Vigilia Pastoral y a la Mesa de PASCON por su entrega y servicio! A las más de 1,000 personas que participaron, ¡gracias! ¡Esperamos verlos en la Vigilia Pastoral 2025!

 

Curso Fundamental en Pastoral Juvenil 2024

El Curso Fundamental en Pastoral Juvenil se ofrecerá en 4 fines de semana, empezando el 2 de febrero de 2024. ¡Aún puedes inscribirte! Este curso está destinado a jóvenes adultos (18-39 años) que desean ser líderes y quieren adquirir una formación inicial en La Pastoral Juvenil. Retiro Charis para Jóvenes Adultos

Reserven la fecha para el Retiro Charis que se llevará a cabo del 10-12 de mayo de 2024. Todos los jóvenes adultos (de 18 a 39 años) están invitados a participar en este retiro de 3 días y 2 noches basado en espiritualidad ignaciana en el Cameron Retreat Center (2405 Holcombe Blvd. Houston, Texas). Asamblea de Coordinadores de la Pastoral Juvenil


Si eres coordinador o parte de la Mesa de tu grupo de jóvenes, te invitamos a asistir a la Asamblea Mensual de Coordinadores de la Pastoral Juvenil. Nos reunimos el cuarto sábado del mes (con algunas excepciones). Este mes será la primera asamblea con la nueva Mesa de PASCON. ¡Ven y conoce a los nuevos líderes de la Pastoral Juvenil Hispana! Magnifica

¡Reserva la fecha para Magnifica 2024! Todos los jóvenes adultos están invitados a unirse a nosotros en Magnifica en el Seminario St. Mary's (9845 Memorial Dr, Houston) el sábado 13 de abril de 2024. Magnifica, es un día que incluirá un orador principal, talleres, misa. y tiempo para actividades sociales. Nuestro tema este año es “¿Quién dicen que soy?” de Mateo 16. Foro “GIVEN” 2024: Para jóvenes adultas

El próximo cohorte del Foro GIVEN se llevará a cabo en Washington, DC, del 8 al 12 de junio de 2024. Todas las jóvenes adultas mujeres interesadas (de 21 a 35 años) están invitadas a postularse para participar antes del 8 de febrero de 2024 (plazo ampliado). El Foro GIVEN es diseñado para ayudar a jóvenes adultas católicas con un corazón para la misión y aptitud para el liderazgo a identificar sus dones particulares y encontrar caminos prácticos para ponerlos al servicio del Evangelio. Además de asistir al Foro, las seleccionadas para asistir recibirán un año de tutoría personalizada a medida que implementan su Plan de Acción.
