Office of Worship

The ministry of Worship seeks to make sacred liturgy the source of spiritual growth, the development of the Church, and the encounter with Christ for all the faithful of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.

The many aspects of the ministry include:

  • the promotion of divine worship and liturgical music as vital to our prayer in full accord with the directives of the Church;
  • assistance in the preparation of good liturgical celebrations that nurture the faith of all those participating;
  • fostering sacred art and architecture which help create good environments for worship and spirituality.

The Office of Worship serves as a resource center for ministry formation, liturgical ministry materials, well-celebrated archdiocesan liturgies, and parish consultation within the context of the liturgical rites and our entire life of faith.
