Development

The Development Office coordinates and implements programs that encourage the tenets of stewardship: the giving of time, talent, and financial resources called for in the Gospels. Fundraising is an integral role within the Archdiocese; it is a means by which our faith community is made aware of and is encouraged to support the vision and mission of the Church and this archdiocese. The Development Office researches, solicits, and coordinates the Archbishop's annual DSF appeal; Archdiocesan fundraising efforts; capital campaigns; promotes charitable gift planning; and provides consultation and support for development initiatives for Parishes and Catholic schools.

Development Records

The Development Records Office is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate records of Archdiocesan Catholics by Parish. Development Records provides the database to solicit then record pledges and payments for all programs that generate financial support for Archdiocesan Ministries/programs/projects. The office provides the mailing list for the Texas Catholic Herald.

Planned Giving

The Planned Giving Program makes donors aware of the personal benefits and tax advantages of using charitable gift planning techniques in supporting the work of the Archdiocese and its parishes, schools, and ministries. It provides educational information in printed materials, seminars, and personal counseling. It assists in maximizing advantages to the donor and providing substantial assets for present needs and future activities of the Church.

Stewardship

The Development Office serves the Archdiocesan family by educating, assisting, and supporting the stewardship efforts of our parish communities. The Development Office collaborates with pastors, Parish Councils, Parish Finance Councils and Parish Stewardship Committees in the implementation of the spiritualty of stewardship based on the United States Bishops’ Pastoral Letter, Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response.  The disciple recognizes that all one has is a gift of a loving God and responds generously in gratitude sharing what has been received as a way of life.
