OUR CHALLENGE
Developing and maintaining lay leaders is critical to the mission of the Church; however, these efforts are often outside the financial abilities of our parishes.

OUR RESPONSE
PROVIDE GRANTS to parishes to aid in their Faith Formation and Evangelization efforts.

OUR CHALLENGE
Each parish has its own unique needs, challenges, and goals in order to better proclaim the teachings of Christ and the mission of the Church.

OUR RESPONSE
RETURN 33% OF THE FUNDS COLLECTED IN EACH PARISH, on a quarterly basis, to be used toward specific parish needs. Sixty-seven percent (67%) of the funds collected over a parish’s goal are returned to the parish.

OUR CHALLENGE
Accessible and affordable Catholic education is increasingly more difficult to find as the cost to educate children continues to rise.

OUR RESPONSE
INFUSE $20 MILLION INTO TWO EXISTING GRADE SCHOOL TUITION ASSISTANCE FUNDS:

Inner City Tuition Assistance Endowments - $12,000,000
The added funds will increase the amount available for tuition assistance by 63%, assisting at least an additional 280 students in the first year.

Non-Inner City Tuition Assistance Endowments - $8,000,000
The added funds will increase the amount available for tuition assistance by 138%, assisting at least an additional 180 students in the first year.

OUR CHALLENGE
Hurricane Harvey caused over $31 million in damages to over 80 parishes, schools, and communities throughout our Archdiocese. The devastating damages thus inhibited their ability to minister to their people.

OUR RESPONSE
PROVIDE GRANTS to assist with Hurricane Harvey related damages and repair costs, as well as apply for grants to address deferred maintenance issues.

OUR CHALLENGE
Following Hurricane Harvey, the existing Future Disaster Recovery Fund was used in its entirety to address the devastating damage and assist in recovery efforts throughout the Archdiocese.

OUR RESPONSE
PROACTIVELY PLAN for the future by replenishing and growing the Future Disaster Recovery Fund.

OUR CHALLENGE
St. Mary’s Seminary, although aesthetically beautiful, is in need of vital updates in order to continue to provide an important ministry to those men answering their call to the priesthood.

OUR RESPONSE
REFURBISH THE PLANT INFRASTRUCTURE to address the outdated systems of the 60-year-old campus.

CONSTRUCT A NEW DORMITORY to remain competitive in its tradition of priestly formation, as well as address the anticipated growth of enrollment at the Seminary.

RENOVATE THE TWO EXISTING DORMITORIES to bring the buildings up to code and provide adequate room for additional seminarians, as well as housing for faculty, formation staff, visiting bishops, and clergy.
