Bayou Awakening #31: Team Application Process

Thank you for considering serving on Team for the upcoming Bayou Awakening Retreat. Serving on Team is a commitment that will require you to give of your time and share your gifts with the Bayou family. It is both an honor and a responsibility, but the rewards far outweigh the challenges.

Team Members will serve as one of the following: Table Staff, Gopher Staff, or Music Staff. As a Team Member, you will be expected to agree to the following:

 -Attend the Bayou Awakening Retreat #31. The retreat will be held at the Cameron Retreat Center on October 28-30, 2022.

-Attend the Bayou Awakening Team Meetings. These meetings will be held once a month beginning in April leading up to the retreat. Team Members must communicate with Thalía (contact info below) or their Staff Head if they are not able to attend a meeting. There will be up to two excused absences that should be communicated to the coordinators in advance. Any more than two absences or the lack of communication may prevent participation on the Team. These meetings will be held at the TSU Newman Center (3535 Wheeler Ave., Houston), from 10:00 am-1:00 pm. The dates are:

April 9
May 21
June 11
July 16
August 20
September 10 (Speaker Day: 10 am to 3 pm)
October 15 
October 27 (Spirit Night: 7:00-10:00 pm) 

-Help advertise the retreat by inviting young adults to attend, requesting that the announcement is in your parish bulletin, participate in outreach events at local college campuses as you are able.

-Participate in fundraising efforts when they are available. Connect with Bayou alumni, friends, parish leaders, and family members to solicit donations as you are able.

-Register to attend the retreat, which includes a fee ($95). Scholarship help is available upon request. In order to obtain a scholarship, please contact Thalía (contact info below). Once scholarships are approved, you will receive a personalized discount code for the online registration system. Team must be registered by August 15, 2022.
