Fr. Robert Murphy, S.J.

Fr. Robert E. Murphy, S.J., is the vocation promoter for the Jesuits USA Central and Southern Province. That means that Fr. Murphy, S.J. is responsible for accompanying men who are discerning a life in the Society of Jesus. He’s been a priest for over 8 years and a Jesuit for almost 20 years.  Over the course of that time he’s, served as a campus minister to health care students at a University and been the director of campus ministry at a High School.  He has assisted as an athletic trainer at the high school and colligate level and worked as a physical therapist in El Salvador and Kenya.  He also been the parochial vicar at a bilingual parish.  He currently resides in the Houston at the Jesuit Community on the campus of Strake Jesuit College Preparatory School.

P.J. Lozano 

P.J. Lozano is a husband and father of six. Born in San Antonio, TX, P.J. and his family resides in Boerne, TX. He is passionate and driven to help lead people of all ages into a deeper relationship with God through our Catholic faith. Youth and young adult ministry is a passion that he has been pursuing for over 15 years. Evangelization is a priority, and P.J. is always looking to find those who feel on the outside, seeking to share the Lord’s truth and mercy. In 2015, his family moved to Haiti and served as missionaries for two years, focusing on serving the poor and bringing Jesus to everyone they encountered. Now, back in youth ministry, P.J. serves as the Director of Recruiting for Ablaze Ministries, inviting young people to serve as missionaries, transforming the Church through mission to youth. 

Sr. Bernadette Mota, FMA

Sr. Bernadette is a Salesian Sister of St. John Bosco who was born and raised in Southern California. She was a collegiate athlete and recreation coordinator before entering religious life in 2005.  Her ministry experience includes young adult ministry, high school and college campus ministry, athletics, faith formation, and development, and is presently serving as the Province Director of Mission Advancement and Fundraising in San Antonio. ​

Julie Fritsch Dumalet

Julie Fritsch Dumalet has led the Archdiocesan Office of Pro-Life Activities since 2016.  She holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, a J.D. from Vanderbilt University and a certification in Health Care Ethics from the National Catholic Bioethics Center.  The Pro-Life Office continually seeks new ways to promote the dignity of the human person through initiatives such as support for pregnant and parenting women and families, healing and support ministries and educational programs for youth, young adults, families and clergy.  The St. Joseph Ministry for Foster Care Children and Families is the newest pro-life initiative of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.

 

 

Sr. Mary Claire Strasser, SOLT

Sister Mary Claire of the Holy Family is a member of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT) and currently serves in Corpus Christi, TX, in the SOLT development office, after ten years teaching middle school.  She is a blog contributor to Blessed is She and enjoys art and writing.  She graduated with a degree in elementary education and is currently working on a Masters in Theology from her Alma Mater, Franciscan University. A Tennessee girl who could live off Dr. Pepper and popcorn, she loves road trips, especially this one we are on to Heaven.
