He was elevated to the College of Cardinals in November of 2007 and served as a Cardinal-Elector in the Papal Conclave of 2013, which saw the election of Pope Francis to the See of Peter. He is a member of the Pontifical Council for Culture, the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People, and is on the Board of Trustees of The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

July 15, 2024: Bob Lesnefsky, Catholic speaker

Bob Lesnefsky serves as Director of Evangelization at Franciscan University. He has spent most of his life sharing the hope of God’s love with inner-city kids in the nonprofit he started, Vagabond Missions. Bob, aka RIGHTEOUS B, is also a washed up, award-winning Christian hip-hop artist and speaker who uses rap music to share the Gospel. Bob and his wife, Kate, both Franciscan University alumni, live in Steubenville, Ohio, with their seven children. Bob also has a ton of stupid tattoos.

July 22, 2024: Kim Zember, Catholic speaker on LGBTQ+ Issues

Kim Zember shares her personal testimony of a continued journey of surrendering her same-sex desires to Jesus in pursuit of the greater love she has found in Him. Through her personal testimony, she helps give others insight into how to love those around them who identify within the LGBTQ community and also gives hope and direction to those who may have same-sex attraction or struggle with their identity.

She loves sharing God The Father's heart with everyone and strives to be totally transparent, to help others know they are safe to do the same, not only with God but with one another.

When Kim is not at home in Atlanta, Georgia, she is most likely found serving and playing with her 500 + children at her 'home-away-from-home' in Ethiopia through her ministry Unforgotten Faces. Kim has appeared on countless programs such as Pints with Aquinas, The Lila Rose Show, Conversations with Jackie & Bobby, Ascension Presents, Encounter Ministries, EWTN, TBN, CBN, Catholic Answers, 700 Club and much more.

Spirit Night at Cafe Catholica

Spirit Night is one night of the Café Catholica summer program when we ask all participants to show some SPIRIT. Do you have a favorite sports team? University? Fandom? All young adults who attend are invited to wear an item of clothing showing some SPIRIT for something they love. We want to especially invite any NEW young adults to join us this night: rising college freshmen, current college students, and recent college graduates.
