Apostles on Mission - Apostles on Mission is a 10-week formation program in leadership and evangelization for young adults in their 20s and 30s. The program will offer a chance to cultivate your personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to understand your personal gifts and strengths, and to live out these gifts in a unique way within your community. The sessions will be held at the St. Dominic Chancery (2403 Holcombe Blvd.) on Mondays from 7:00-8:30 pm starting on September 11, 2023, and ending on November 13, 2023. The cost is $35 per person. The extended deadline is Sept. 6^th.

Bayou Awakening #32 - All young adults (ages 18-25) are invited to join us for the Bayou Awakening #32 Retreat. Awakening seeks to bring young adults to a personal encounter with Christ, provide an opportunity for spiritual renewal, and connect young adults to the Catholic Church. The retreat will be held October 27-29, 2023, at the Cameron Retreat Center (2405 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas, 77021). The cost is $95 per person, and there are limited scholarships available. Office of Vocations Events - 

Verbum Tuum is a four-month discernment program for single and dating young men and women to learn more about the mission God is calling them to.  It is four nights and one weekend retreat. Register at https://archgh.swoogo.com/VerbumTuum

Silent Retreat Series is for unmarried young adult men and women seeking to learn more about Ignatian Spirituality.  Each retreat builds on each other but it is not required to attend all three. The next offering is Nov. 5, 2023. Register for each of them here: Silent Retreat Series (swoogo.com)

Mass for the Care of Creation - Mass for the Care of Creation on the Eve of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, hosted at St. Theresa Catholic Church 6622 Haskell ST Houston, TX 77007, Tuesday October 3^rd, 2023 at 6:30 PM. We’ll dig deep into our faith and come away feeling refreshed in our unity and our love for each other and God’s Creation. The Letter: A Message for Our Earth  - Several local parishes are hosting a movie screening of the film “The Letter: A Message For Our Earth” as part of the global movement for the Season of Creation, an annual month-long season when Christian communities pray and act to protect creation. The film will be shown several dates in September; the dates and parish locations can be found here.

Communio Newsletter for Central Houston Young Adults - All young adults in central Houston are invited to subscribe to the “Communio” newsletter. This newsletter seeks to gather information about all young adult activities in Central Houston and share those details with interested young adults.

"Communio" is a Latin phrase meaning "community" or "fellowship". Over time it grew to hold a religious association, especially in the Eucharist where the faithful are united to Christ and to each other in the most intimate sense. While this newsletter cannot bring about the same unity as the Eucharist, organizers do hope to facilitate social "oneness" among the different young adult groups in Houston. Each group does so much to nourish the lives of young people; this newsletter will attempt to supplement that effort by consolidating all of these events into one place. Owl Ears at Rice University - All are welcome to the Owl Ears speaker series at Rice University. This series seeks to welcome young adults into the rich theology of the Catholic Faith. Talks will be held at Kyle Morrow Room, Fondren Library (6100 South Main St., Houston) on Tuesdays from 6-7:30 pm with dinner available at 5 pm. Conferencia Arquidiocesana de Ministerio Hispano - ¡Reserva la fecha para la Conferencia Arquidiocesana de Ministerio Hispano! Esta se llevará a cabo en el Auditorio del St. Dominic Center el sábado, 30 de septiembre de 8:00am-6:00pm. La conferencia es para todos los servidores líderes parroquiales, sacerdotes, religiosas, diáconos, jóvenes adultos, coordinadores y miembros de grupos laicos y ministerios y toda persona que da un acompañamiento a los católicos hispanos de esta arquidiócesis. La conferencia iniciará con Adoración Eucarística en la Co-Catedral del Sagrado Corazón el viernes 29 de septiembre a las 7:00pm. ¡Más detalles próximamente!
