Catholic Bioethics

This is a three module series that focuses on common medical and ethical issues arising at the beginning of life, at the end of life, and in health care.

Medical Ethics at the Beginning of Life for Young Adults

 All young adults are invited to attend this 4-week seminar on Catholic Bioethics at the beginning of life. Questions to be explored include the “whys” of Church teaching on contraception, including emergency contraception; whether abortion is ever permissible if a woman’s life is in danger; if use of surrogacy arrangements is good public policy, and much more!

Health Care Ethics & Experimentation 

Session Topics: This module focuses on ethical questions arising from the provider-patient relationship and concerns for the common good.  Topics will include ethics of the provider-patient relationship, human experimentation (with focus on treatments for gender dysphoria), cooperation with evil, ethical questions surrounding vaccine creation and use, organ donation and much more.
