Curriculum Day & Publishers' Showcase 

Thursday, April 11 | Day session 9:30-4:30; Evening Session 5:30-9:00 | In-Person gathering at St. Dominic Center

Parish Catechetical Leaders will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from religious textbook publishers and ask questions, compare products, and attend informational workshops.  Workshops will also be available for those who need help implementing the archdiocesan curriculum in their parish.

Register for the Showcase and be entered in a drawing to win $500 toward your new textbooks or resources! All parish catechetical leaders who register for the Publisher's Showcase will be entered into a drawing to win a $500 grant toward the purchase of your new textbooks or publisher resources!  

  • You must PRE-REGISTER and ATTEND the showcase to be eligible for the drawing.  

  • Winner will be drawn at the conclusion of the last workshop session on April 11 in the St. Dominic Auditorium. 

  • You do not need to be present at that time to win, but you must show as checked-in on our official sign-in sheet.

Introduction to Professional Catechetical Ministry / Spring Semester 

One Monday a month | 6-8pm | Virtual

This course has been developed to assist new catechetical leaders (those serving in a parish for 5 years or less) to gain the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in your first few years. Live virtual sessions are held once a month, and previous session recordings and materials are available for viewing on-demand.  Sessions are available in English and Spanish.

Formation Toward Christian Ministry (FTCM)

The Formation Toward Christian Ministry (FTCM) program offers basic theology and spiritual development to Catholic adults who want to deepen their commitment to Jesus and more fully answer their baptismal call to service as a mature disciple. Course topics include: Introduction to Scripture, Catholic Beliefs, Morality, Church History, and more! 

Community Conversations: Healing the Wounds - Red Nations Rising

Wednesday, April 21 | 10am - 12pm | Virtual meeting

Our presenter Fidel Moreno will speak to us about Red Nations Rising, an multi-tribal organization focused on the history, experiences, and needs of Native Americans.  Through dialogue, education, and activism, Red Nations Rising seeks restorative justice and inter-generational healing for Native people.   For more information: aauzenne@archgh.org

Using the USCCB's pastoral letter on racism, "Open Wide Our Hearts" as a guide, Community Conversations is a  monthly dialogue which provides safe space for difficult conversations about race, faith, and justice that are grounded in our Catholic teaching of the dignity of the human person.  Each session features a talk by a knowledgeable expert, followed by small group discussion. Sessions meet virtually from 10am-noon on the third Wednesday of each month. All are welcome!

Catechist Workshop: The Art of Catechesis, Curriculum, and Lesson Design

Saturday, April 6 | 1-4pm | In-Person meeting at St. Ambrose Catholic Church | English and Spanish sessions available

This opportunity is designed to support Catechists in their Catechetical ministry with practical, simple ways of passing down the Faith while using the Archdiocesan Curriculum and Lesson Design. These hours of training will be counted as electives toward your Catechist record.
