Adult Confirmation
Catholic adults who are active in the practice of their faith but who, for whatever reason, have never received the Sacrament of Confirmation are encouraged to do so. In this Archdiocese the normal pastoral practice is to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation with adults at special Masses throughout the Archdiocese on two occasions: Pentecost Sunday, and early January at the Baptism of the Lord, or Epiphany feasts. Registration and preparation for these celebrations is coordinated at the parish level.
Formation Resources
The Office of Evangelization and Catechesis has developed the process of preparation of adults for the Sacrament of Confirmation. For parishes who have been trained in the formation process, all resources are available for download in electronic form below:

Sacramental Norms:
The Archbishop has issued ecclesial norms which represent the particular law for sacramental preparation and celebration within the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. It is the responsibility of pastors and catechetical leaders to implement these norms in their respective parishes. These norms may be accessed through Capernaum at Sacramental Norms Orientation (csod.com). In order to ensure they are used appropriately; the availability permissions are limited to clergy and parish catechetical leaders.
