Conferencia Anual de Ministerio Hispano 2020

Within the process of the V Encuentro of Hispanic Latino Ministry recently experienced at the national level, these ministerial areas of highest priority emerged: family, youth, and leadership formation. As the Office of Hispanic Ministry, we have taken family as the main focus for our annual conference this year. That is why it is with great joy that we offer you a cordial invitation to participate virtually in the Annual Hispanic Ministry Conference this coming September on Wednesday the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th at 7:00 p.m. This year's theme is Family, Symbol of Peace and Love: domestic Church, where God abides, "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:20

All parish leaders, lay groups, priests, deacons, religious communities, young-adults, and all of those that are providing pastoral care to Hispanic Catholics in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston are invited to the Annual Hispanic Ministry Conference. Formation and resources will be provided through webinars where the participants will obtain tools that will assist them in the accompaniment and pastoral work they have in their parish community, institution, or group. The conference will be bilingual and will include workshops in English and Spanish in the areas of inclusion and diversity, leadership, mission and discipleship, vocations, youth ministry, evangelization, mental health, and spirituality.

The keynote speakers will be Mrs. Lucía Luzondo, JD, Director of Intercultural Ministry for the Archdiocese of Atlanta (co-founder of Family Renewal Ministries) and Father Vicente Agila, pastor and administrator of Our Lady of Fatima Church and school in our Archdiocese. Mrs. Luzondo will share with us a reflection on the main theme of the conference during the closing keynote. Father Vicente Agila will open the conference as the main speaker giving a reflection on rebuilding families with resilience during the pandemic. The coronavirus pandemic has had a serious financial impact for many individuals, families, and parishes.  In recognition of this fact, and in an effort to make this annual conference available to all who might wish to participate, the Archdiocese will accept goodwill donations for registrations instead of the normal fixed fee. The donation is voluntary and does not affect your registration status.  Donation details are provided within the registration process.

Dentro del proceso del V Encuentro de Pastoral Hispana Latina a nivel nacional vivido recientemente, surgieron como áreas ministeriales de mayor prioridad: la familia, los jóvenes, y la formación de liderazgo. Como Oficina de Ministerio Hispano hemos tomado como enfoque principal para nuestra conferencia anual de este año, a la familia. Es por ello que con gran alegría les hacemos una atenta invitación a participar de forma virtual en la Conferencia Anual de Ministerio Hispano este próximo mes de septiembre durante todos los miércoles en los días 2, 9, 16, 23 y 30 a las 7:00 p.m. El tema de este año es Familia, Símbolo de Paz y Amor: Iglesia doméstica, donde habita Dios,  "Porque donde hay dos o tres reunidos en mi Nombre, yo estoy presente en medio de ellos”, Mateo 18:20.

¡Invitamos a todos los líderes parroquiales, grupos laicos, sacerdotes, diáconos, comunidades religiosas, jóvenes adultos y a todos aquellos que se encuentran llevando a cabo el cuidado pastoral de los Hispanos Católicos en la Arquidiócesis de Galveston-Houston a no dejar pasar esta oportunidad y a inscribirse lo antes posible! Se ofrecerán conferencias en línea de formación y recursos donde los participantes obtendrán herramientas que les ayudarán en el acompañamiento y trabajo pastoral que desempeñan en su comunidad parroquial, institución, o grupo. La conferencia será bilingüe e incluirá talleres en inglés y español en las áreas de inclusión y diversidad, liderazgo, misión y discipulado, vocaciones, pastoral con jóvenes adolescentes, evangelización, salud mental y espiritualidad.

Los conferencistas principales serán la Sra. Lucía Luzondo, JD, Directora del Ministerio Intercultural de la Arquidiócesis de Atlanta  (cofundadora del Ministerio Renovación Familiar) y el Padre Vicente Agila, párroco y administrador de la parroquia y escuela, Our Lady of Fatima en nuestra Arquidiócesis.  La Sra. Luzondo nos compartirá una reflexión sobre el tema principal de la conferencia durante la clausura. El Padre Vicente Agila abrirá la conferencia como conferencista principal dando una reflexión sobre reconstruyendo familias con resiliencia durante la pandemia. La pandemia del coronavirus ha tenido un grave impacto financiero para muchas personas, familias y parroquias. En reconocimiento de este hecho, y en un esfuerzo por hacer que esta conferencia anual esté disponible para todos los que deseen participar, la Arquidiócesis aceptará donaciones de buena voluntad para las inscripciones en lugar de la tarifa fija normal. La donación es voluntaria y no afecta su inscripción. Los detalles de la donación se proporcionan dentro del proceso de inscripción.
