Archdiocesan Mission Council

The Mission Council was established in 2004 by Archbishop Fiorenza, for promoting the missionary activity of the local Church. Membership is inclusive of all ordained, religious and laity of the Archdiocese who are interested in mission. The Council provides a forum for its members in the sharing of experiences and ideas in mission activity.

The Council has three standing committees to assist and encourage missionary endeavors:

  1. Education – for education on the missionary nature of the Church
  2. Spirituality – for development and nurturing a Christ-centered missionary spirit
  3. Promotion – for support of existing mission activity and to assist new mission programs
