Notre Dame Glee Club to sing in Houston, March 11
February 28, 2012
HOUSTON — The all-male Notre Dame Glee Club, one of the preeminent collegiate chorus ensembles in the United States, will perform in Houston at 7 p.m., March 11 at the Parsley Center on the campus of Strake Jesuit. The Club's repertoire includes plainsong, Renaissance polyphony and Romantic and contemporary choral works, as well as spirituals, folksongs and the ever-popular Notre Dame School songs. The Glee Club sets out on tour every fall and spring break to bring music and camaraderie to alumni, family and friends away from the shadow of the Golden Dome, but has not toured in the Houston area since March of 2007.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students and free admission for children under school age. Purchase your tickets at the door on the evening of the concert. All profits will be used to fund student scholarships and the Notre Dame Club of Houston's other charitable activities. †
