November 10, 2020

HOUSTON - The Catholic Schools Office is seeking the input of parents with students in 6th grade and above for interest in a Catholic cateer technical high school in Galveston-Houston. The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston is exploring plans to develop a technical secondary education institution in Houston.

The survey will help the development committee of the Catholic career-technical high school  advisory board to evaluate curriculum offerings and potential attendance.

A statement about the survey said that the advisory board is planning "initial curriculum offering based on 10-year job projections for high-wage, high-demand careers within the Houston metroplex, as well as throughout the country."

"Our goal is to provide a truly unique, Catholic centered, technical high school education to students who may be looking to develop skills that will allow them to enter the workforce directly out of high school or move on to the college experience of their choice," the statement said.
