September 23, 2014

FULSHEAR — On Sept. 14, Daniel Cardinal DiNardo visited St. Faustina Catholic Church for the first time to celebrate Mass.

The new parish community of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston was established this past summer with Father Dat Hoang as the founding administrator.

Before and after the Mass, Cardinal DiNardo had the opportunity to meet many of the parishioners and families of the St. Faustina community, the newest parish in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.

Masses are being temporarily held at Joe Hubenak Elementary School, 11344 Rancho Bello Pkwy., in Richmond, in the Lakes of Bella Terra subdivision near Westpark Tollway and Grand Parkway. Initial Masses began Aug. 16 and 17. Mass times are 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Sundays.

The permanent site of St. Faustina Catholic Church is located on FM 1093 just east of the main entrance of Cross Creek Ranch subdivision.

In the 1930s, Saint Faustina of Lodz, Poland, received a message of Divine Mercy from the Lord. She was told to spread this message throughout the world. “Paint an image according to the pattern you see, with the signature ‘Jesus I trust you.’”
