Archdiocese begins Pastoral Planning Process with ‘listening sessions’ (1)

March 29, 2011

HOUSTON — This month, the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston began a year-long Pastoral Planning Process. Daniel Cardinal DiNardo continues to invite all Catholics to participate in “listening sessions” to hear what the faithful appreciate and hope for in coming years. Cardinal DiNardo implemented these sessions to gauge the faith and needs of local Catholics. The responses from the sessions will guide the development of a new pastoral plan for the Archdiocese. There are “listening sessions” being held in various parishes throughout the 10 counties of the Archdiocese. After the sessions, participants’ responses will be prioritized and a core team of Archdiocesan leaders will discern and propose potential directions to the Cardinal.
