The Society of St. Vincent de Paul invites the public to be a part of the Friends of the Poor Walk. The one-mile walk is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29. The Friends of the Poor Walk is a national program coordinated by the development team at the national office of the society.
A foundational course on the doctrine and theology of marriage for all couples and individuals working in marriage ministry is set for Aug. 25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Dominic Archdiocesan Center, Morkovsky Hall, Room 205. The cost is $30 per couple or $20 individual.
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston Parish Social Ministry classes will begin Aug. 30 and run through Dec. 13 at St. Mary’s Seminary, 9845 Memorial Dr., on Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. in the Nold Building.
