Holy Week at St. Mary's Cathedral Basilica and the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart

St. Mary's Cathedral Basilica on Galveston Island and the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Houston are hosting several Holy Week celebrations.

Easter Triduum services will be held at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, located at 1111 St. Joseph Pkwy. in downtown Houston, and at St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica, located at 2011 Church Rear St. in Galveston, on the following dates:

Holy Thursday, April 13

Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart
7 p.m. - Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper (English, Vietnamese, and Spanish) with Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, celebrant
Followed by Adoration until Midnight

6 p.m. - Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper

Good Friday, April 14

Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart
7 a.m. to 7 p.m. - Confessions
10 a.m. - Tenebrae sung Liturgy of the Hours

1:30 p.m. - Tre Ore sung musical service
3 p.m. - Liturgy of Good Friday: Celebration of the Lord’s Passion (English and Spanish)
5:30 p.m. - Stations of the Cross (Spanish)
