Catholic Relief Services Providing Emergency Relief in Pakistan
August 30, 2022
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is providing emergency relief in Pakistan in response to devastating floods that have displaced more than 2 million people.
Nearly 1,000 people are reported to have died in the natural disaster, and the homes of hundreds of thousands of families across Sindh and Baluchistan provinces have been flooded or destroyed. With bridges, shops and city infrastructure damaged, communities face challenges in accessing help and having the means to rebuild and recover.
CRS and local partners will provide immediate cash assistance to 2,300 families.
As the number of families in need of support continues to increase, CRS plans to expand support to include access to emergency shelter and clean water.
