October 9, 2023
On Oct. 9, Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, released this statement on Israel/Gaza Conflict:
“I wish to express my deep sadness at the recent terrorist attack on the people of Israel. I also wish to express my support and prayers for the many families and friends of the victims, some of whom may live in the city of Houston.
Though this is an extremely difficult time, by faith we know that the God of peace can bring hope to any situation. I join with the Holy Father in praying for the restoration of lasting peace in the Holy Land.
I would also like to call your attention to the statement of Bishop David J. Malloy, chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) Committee on International Justice and Peace.”
