Cardinal DiNardo appoints new CFO for Archdiocese

Following consultation with the Archdiocesan Finance Council and the College of Consultors, Daniel Cardinal DiNardo appointed Rose Michalec to serve as Chief Financial Officer of the Archdiocese effective February 1, 2024.
Michalec has served as Controller for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston since 2013. She has more than 30 years of experience in Accounting and Finance. She holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Houston and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Michalec is an active parishioner of Corpus Christi Church in Houston. Prior to joining the Archdiocese, she was the Manager of Financial Reporting and General Accounting for the law firm, Vinson & Elkins.
