1,400 Educators Celebrate a New School Year with Daniel Cardinal DiNardo
On Friday, August 7, Daniel Cardinal DiNardo will celebrate the beginning of a new school year with more than 1,400 teachers and school administrators from the Catholic schools of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. The Mass, to be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Pkwy., Houston, will be followed by an awards ceremony.

Almost 4,000 people expected for closing concert HOUSTON – Hailing from Mexico City, Grupo Emmanuel has gained tremendous popularity throughout the world often playing to capacity crowds. They are talented musicians with a unique mission – their goal is to utilize the combination of worship and music to bring people closer to God and ultimately invite them to consider the priesthood or religious life. Next week, August 10-15, 2015, Grupo Emmanuel will be returning to the Houston-Galveston area for the second time for a week-long event called Cielo Abierto (“Open Heaven”).

At 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015, Catholics throughout the Houston-Galveston area will welcome five new priests when Daniel Cardinal DiNardo ordains David Angelino, Jeffrey Bame, Simon Kipiti, Elias Lopez and Richard McNeillie at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway in downtown Houston.
