Daniel Cardinal DiNardo recently spoke to Vatican Radio about the Department of Health and Human Services mandate requiring private health plans to provide free coverage for federally-approved contraception. Cardinal DiNardo, chair of the Committee on Pro-Life Activities of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, also said the mandate does not protect rights of conscience for health care providers.
