The mission of the Cardinal's Circle is to make it possible for any family to give their children a Catholic education. Since June 2010, supporters of the Cardinal's Circle pledged $1.13 million toward a fund that will benefit Inner City Catholic Schools by bridging the financial gap between the income from school tuition and what it costs to educate a child in an Inner City parochial school.

A March 29 dinner at the Cathedral Centre honored this year's Cardinal's Circle members. At the dinner, Cardinal DiNardo said, "These 13 Inner City Catholic Schools are beacons of hopes for their neighborhoods, centers of communities, centers for families ... We know the great good that is accomplished by educating children in heart, mind and spirit."

Superintendent of Catholic Schools Sister Kevina Keating, CCVI, LEFT, offered gratitude to Rich Kinder, RIGHT, during the March 29 appreciation dinner honoring members of The Cardinal's Circle. Houston philanthropists Rich and Nancy Kinder gave the lead gift of $1 million to the Inner City Catholic Schools funding initiative.
