On April 29, Daniel Cardinal DiNardo attended a banquet during a bioethics conference titled, "Health Care in a Secular Culture: the Consciences of Physicians and Nurses at Risk." The conference was held at Houston Baptist University and sponsored by the Pope John Paul II Forum for the Church in the Modern World at the University of St. Thomas. Pictured are Dr. Robert B. Sloan, Jr., President of Houston Baptist University President (LEFT); the Right Reverend Bishop Thomas (Joseph), Auxiliary Bishop of Charleston, Oakland and the Mid-Atlantic of the Antiochian Orthodox Church; and Cardinal DiNardo.

On April 30, Cardinal DiNardo met with Archdiocesan Women in Consecrated Life during their annual meeting, April 30, at the Dubuis Center at Villa de Matel. There are 453 women in consecrated life in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
