Cardinal DiNardo at the 2019 Archdiocesan Youth Conference

Cardinal DiNardo celebrated the sacrament of reconciliation with the teens and celebrated the closing Mass at this year's Archdiocesan Youth Conference (AYC) on July 27-29,2019 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in downtown Houston. Over 2,400 teens and their chaperones gathered for a weekend of faith and fellowship.

AYC is the largest evangelizing event for older adolescents that the Office of Adolescent Catechesis and Evangelization hosts annually.

Participants were able to experience the diversity of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. They had the opportunity to share and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ through daily Mass, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, confession, dynamic talks, and other prayer experiences.
