Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund

Hurricane Harvey hit southeast Texas with great impact and persisted with devastating results as a Tropical Storm in the region. The storm’s rain unleashed unprecedented floods which have affected countless families and homes throughout our Archdiocese.

Many of our Catholic parishes are helping in their local communities as their situations and resources allow, working in conjunction with both local and national relief efforts to serve as shelters and donation centers. However, the effects of Hurricane Harvey will extend far beyond these immediate needs.

The devastation from Hurricane Harvey is widespread. The rain is gone, but the full impact on our churches, schools and other structures in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston is still being evaluated. While some areas emerged relatively untouched, others were overwhelmed by the storm and some are still facing ongoing danger from floodwaters.

Recovery from catastrophes such as Hurricane Harvey takes years. We need your help. Your donation will support the recovery and rebuilding of Catholic parishes, schools, and ministries in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, in addition to helping those in need through our Catholic social service agencies. Thank you for your prayers and your generosity.
