Over $960,000 Distributed Back to Parishes!

Parishes conducting the Good Faith Effort Campaign receive 33% of funds collected quarterly throughout the redemption of the IGNITE: Our Faith, Our Mission Capital Campaign. As of October 31, 2018, $960,938 has been distributed back to the participating parishes. The next quarterly distribution will be deposited into the parishes' accounts in January of 2019. St. Michael the Archangel Church in Lake Jackson participated in the IGNITE Campaign prior to it being postponed due to Hurricane Harvey. The parish has been able to move ahead on many o their "parish needs" projects, such as installing video surveillance equipment in the church, Family Life Center, and Spiritual Learning Center in thanks to the distributed parish share funds.

St. Mary's Seminary Infrastructure Update

In March of 2018, the first phase of the St. Mary's Seminary case element was completed. The outdated heating, cooling, mechanical, electrical and plumbing infrastructure, which supports the basic systems of the over 60-year-old campus, required replacement. The first proceeds of the Archdiocesan share from the IGNITE Campaign is being used to repay the loan that was taken from the Diocesan Savings and Loan to complete this urgent infrastructure update.
