North Houston Catholic Young Adults (NHCYA)

The North Houston Catholic Young Adults is a group composed of young adult ministries from parishes in the north of the Archdiocese of Galveston Houston including but not limited to:

  • Christ the Redeemer

  • Christ the Good Shepherd

  • JPII Young Adult Ministry based at St. Edward

  • Prince of Peace

  • Sacred Heart in Conroe

  • St. Anthony of Padua

  • St. Martha

  • Sts. Simon and Jude

  • St. Ignatius of Loyola

  • St.  Maximilian Kolbe

  • St. Mary Magdalene


The purpose of this group is to share and coordinate the resources offered to all young adults in the northern part of the archdiocese. Every month a parish hosts an event (prayer or social) that is open to ALL young adults from the area. In addition, each group has their own young adult group programs.


October 5-7: Weekend camping trip with St. Martha Catholic Church, 109 N. Frazier St., Conroe, TX 77301.

November 11: Adoration, Reconciliation, Praise & Worship at Sacred Heart, 7:00pm-8:30pm

December (TBD): Ugly Sweater Party at Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 7801 Bay Branch Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77382.


In addition, the NHCYA is organizing the Winter Café Catholica speaker series that will take place in January and February 2019 on 4 Monday nights:

January 7: Sacred Heart in Conroe

January 21: Sts. Simon and Jude in Woodlands

February 4: St. Ignatius of Loyola in Spring

February 18: Christ the Redeemer in Houston
