Adult Formation and Certification
The formation of parish youth ministry leadership is a major priority of the Archdiocesan Office of Youth Ministry. Whether full-time, part-time paid, or volunteer, the formation of individuals who work with youth, in particular early and older adolescents is a critical component in the development of successful parish programs and safe places for young people to gather and feel welcomed.

Advocacy for Youth Ministry Leaders (Adults and Youth)
The Office of Youth Ministry is a primary advocate of youth ministry leaders, both adults and youth. The recognition and empowerment of these ministers is an important aspect of formation. Additionally, the department focuses on empowering adults and adolescents to use their gifts and resources to strengthen youth programming throughout the Archdiocese.

Youth Formation and Programming for Younger and Older Adolescents
The Office of Youth Ministry provides formation through a variety of age specific programs geared to both the younger adolescent (grades 6th -8th) and older adolescent (9th-12th). These programs help youth discover their gifts, talents and abilities to help foster and promote leadership in the footsteps of Jesus Christ as a Servant-Leader.

Youth Ministry Archdiocesan Gatherings and Special Events
The Office of Youth Ministry sponsors and promotes a wide range of conference, gatherings, and special events for youth and adults. These include participation in both regional and national conferences.

Youth Ministry Leader Support & Spiritual Development
Providing opportunities for continual support and spiritual growth of youth ministry leaders is a main goal of the Office of Youth Ministry. Through personal visits, retreats, and monthly gatherings these programs help youth ministry leaders continue their own spiritual development.
