The Live-in
Weekend at Holy Trinity Seminary offers men in their
senior year of high school through age 28 who are
discerning a call to diocesan priesthood an
opportunity to experience first-hand life in the
seminary. Participants are invited to join the
seminary community at prayer, in classes at the
University of Dallas, socials, and other scheduled
events throughout the weekend.
The live-in Weekend
begins at the seminary on Thursday evening with
dinner at 6 P.M. Friday is spent living the normal
schedule of prayer, classes, and meals with the
seminary community. Saturday is left open for
informal discussions and tours of Dallas with
recreational events in the afternoon and evening.
The Weekend concludes on Sunday with the celebration
of the community liturgy and brunch.
Holy Trinity Seminary
is located on the campus of the University of Dallas
in Irving, Texas with easy access by highway and by
air from D/FW Airport and Love Field Airport. It
serves dioceses in the states of Texas, Arkansas,
Oklahoma, and Louisiana providing college and
pre-theology programs of formation as well as ESL
classes.
The college formation
program not only prepares students in philosophy and
the liberal arts, but also brings to maturity their
understanding of the faith, assisting them to
develop spirituality consistent with a priestly
vocation.
