It's not too late to come witness history this Sunday!

Join in the celebration of the installation of Father Jeffery N. Steenson, a former Episcopal Bishop, as the first Ordinary of the recently established Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter.

The Vatican established the new ordinariate on Jan. 1 to shepherd former Anglicans into full communion with the Catholic Church in a corporate manner, or in groups. An ordinariate is the equivalent of diocese, but national in scope.

All are invited to attend the Mass of Installation Sunday, Feb. 12 at 3 p.m. at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Pkwy. Guests from across the country will attend this historic event, including Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, Donald Cardinal Wuerl of Washington, D.C. and 10 additional U.S. bishops.

Father Steenson, who became a Catholic in 2007 and was ordained to the priesthood in 2009 in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, is married with three grown children. He teaches patristics at St. Mary Seminary and the University of St. Thomas. Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church in Houston has been desig¬nated as the principal church for the new ordinariate.
