Learn about St. Maria Goretti with the Passionists March 21st
March 13, 2012






The Passionists at the Holy Name Passionist Retreat Center continue their Lenten evening series next Wednesday, March 21 with an exploration of the life of St. Maria Goretti, the young Italian virgin-martyr who was canonized 1950.

The Passionist invite all interested to join them as they use the saints as guides to meditate upon on the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The journey has consisted of an exploration of how different Passionist saints were called to spread the love of Christ through the Passion and how they can be light unto our own Lenten journeys.

The evening begins with a dinner at 6 p.m., followed by the presentation at 6:45 p.m. and Mass at 8 p.m.

San Jose Clinic

Founded in 1922, San Jose Clinic is one of the oldest charity clinics still in operation in the United States. The clinic has served the Houston area for more than 88 years, providing quality health care and health education to low-income, uninsured individuals and families. Supported by volunteer health care providers, the Clinic offers medical, dental and optometry services, as well as lab work and prescription medications at no additional cost to patients. It is the only health care entity owned by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
