The Daily Vine Learn about St. Maria Goretti with the Passionists March 21st March 13, 2012 The Passionists at the Holy Name Passionist Retreat Center continue their Lenten evening series next Wednesday, March 21 with an exploration of the life of St. Maria Goretti, the young Italian virgin-martyr who was canonized 1950. The Passionist invite all interested to join them as they use the saints as guides to meditate upon on the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The journey has consisted of an exploration of how different Passionist saints were called to spread the love of Christ through the Passion and how they can be light unto our own Lenten journeys. The evening begins with a dinner at 6 p.m., followed by the presentation at 6:45 p.m. and Mass at 8 p.m. There is a $20 good will offering. To register, click here.
