The department advises the Cardinal, Chancery officials, pastors and school principals on day-to-day legal matters that arise. It also manages the activities of law firms retained as special counsel in various matters. Finally, the Legal Department participates broadly in continuing education programs designed to keep school and Church personnel informed on changes and developments in the law. |
