The   Archdiocese   of    Galveston-Houston,    Office    of    Youth
                                               Ministry,  Evangelization Team  or  E-Team for short  is a Catholic
                                               youth  outreach  Retreat  Ministry.   Our  mission  is  to   proclaim
                                              the   Good  News  to  youth  in  our   Archdiocese   through  retreat
                                         experiences.   Our  goal  is  to  provide  Catechesis, faith experiences;
                                personal  witnessing,  fellowship,  and  prayer  in  a  retreat  format  to  those
                        youth from parishes with limited resources (both financial and human).

E-Team provides retreats for Junior High youth (grades 6th -8th) and High School youth.  Format for retreats can range from one day to a full weekend. E-Teams do not provide weekend format for Junior High Youth

Our team of volunteers consists of Coordinators of Youth Ministry, young adults and youth from throughout the Archdiocese who are dedicated to sharing their gifts in retreat ministry and have completed Retreat formation.

As scheduling permits, E-Team is available to assist parish/school with planning and facilitating retreats, as well as providing retreats for parish/school who are seeking to broaden their scope of retreat experiences.

Retreats may be requested from the following themes:

Retreat themes can be tailored for each parish/school. Office of Youth Ministry Associate Director and the Retreat Coordinator will discuss with the Parish/School Contact any special needs or objectives for the retreat. Parish/school must have a minimum of 20 participants to make a retreat

All retreat-team members volunteer their time to create sacred space for adolescents, but minimal fees are required to cover the expense of materials. Please refer to the Brochure and Request Form for costs for both One-day retreats (8 hours or less) Overnight/Weekend retreats The sponsoring parish/school must have adequate retreat facilities with bathrooms and showers for weekend retreats and is responsible for the fee once the retreat date has been confirmed with a formal letter and billing. Weekend retreats usually start Friday evening and finish Sunday Noon).

E-TEAM retreats are a dynamic process of witness, outreach, Gospel proclamation, fellowship, invitation and challenge that invite retreat participants into a deeper relationship with Jesus.  We provide the retreat formation to help you in your ministry.
