Mass of Ordination


The Mass of Ordination for Bishop-elect George A. Sheltz will be held on May 2, 2012 at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in downtown Houston. Due to limited capacity, tickets will be issued for seating by invitation.



Join Bishop-elect Sheltz at his first Masses of Thanksgiving 

However, the first set of Masses of Thanksgiving to be celebrated by Bishop-elect George A. Sheltz have been confirmed for this spring. The public is welcome to attend the following Masses with Bishop-elect Sheltz at these parishes where he served as pastor: Tuesday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at Prince of Peace Church, 19222 Tomball Parkway in Houston; Thursday, May 24 at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 7801 Bay Branch Dr. in The Woodlands; and Tuesday, May 29 at 7 p.m. at Christ the Redeemer Church, 11507 Huffmeister Road in Houston. In addition, the public is welcome to attend his Masses of Thanksgiving on: Monday, June 4 at 7 p.m. at Annunciation Church, 1618 Texas Ave. in Houston, where he was ordained to the priesthood over 40 years ago; and on Tuesday, June 5 at 7 p.m. at Holy Family Parish, 34th and Ave. K in Galveston.
